Hi! I'm Kinza Kirkman, a fine artist based out of Wilmington. I've been painting all my life, and I'm excited to offer this new service to brides and grooms.
Live wedding guest painting is truly a unique experience. During cocktail hour, I take reference photos of your guests. Then, while they party I complete their paintings live! Most paintings are completed to take home by the end of the night.
Guests are truly enamored with the process--and the paintings they take home forever remind them of the beauty of your wedding day!!
Also, this isn't just for weddings! I paint during personal/business events as well.

Live Painting On-Site
Your special day arrives and I show up ready to capture your guests!
Step Four:
Final Portraits + Delivery
Any extras that I need to finish will be completed and sent to you within 1-2 weeks after the wedding.
Live Wedding Portrait Package
My package includes:

Live painting on-site for your event for between 3-6 hours, depending how many guests attend.

Portraits completed on 5x7 inch cold-pressed watercolor paper and wrapped in protective cellophane.

Customized stamp options for the back of the portrait to remember the event.
We can discuss details that are optional and included, such as how detailed you prefer the portraits to be--if you prefer fun and expressive paintings for large groups or detailed heirloom pieces for smaller gatherings!
For me to provide hand-painted portraits that are both entertainment and gifts your guests will treasure forever, I charge a flat rate of $1250.

Hi! I'm Kinza Kirkman.
Weddings are such a beautiful celebration of choosing one person for the rest of your life. A beautiful covenant is made to love and to cherish in sickness and in health. It's an event that deserves to be remembered and documented. It's a reunion of family and friends that guests cherish and remember for the rest of their lives.
I've been an artist all my life. When I was young I wanted to be a painter. I graduated with a Studio Art degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2018 and also painted abroad in Italy at the American University of Rome. I've painted professionally for several years and have fulfilled the dream of my younger self!
I am happily married to Robert and we have three boys together. They are my biggest cheerleaders. My oldest loves to create with me and often gives his opinions on my paintings!

FAQ Section
Q: What kind of medium do you use?
A: In our pre-wedding chat, we can discuss your vision and preferred style. Watercolors have been standard, but I'm also exploring the boldness and detail that markers provide in the sketching process.
Q: Will you finish all of the paintings?
A: While live painting, I will complete as many as possible. It takes me 7-9 minutes for each portrait, so it depends on how many guests you have attending your wedding. If I don't finish them all, I will finish them within 1-2 weeks after the wedding a send them to you as a perfect addition to your thank you note to that guest!
Q: Do you travel?
A: Yes! I do travel. I charge extra when booking 60 miles or more out of Wilmington. This includes .65 per gallon and a hotel stay if needed.
Q: Can I gift this to someone else?
A: Absolutely! Just have a conversation beforehand with the bride and groom to make sure you have their permission.
