A Fall Live Wedding Painting in Wilmington, NC

In the fall of 2024, I painted at an intimate wedding that took place in front of the Intracoastal Waterway. It was in the backyard of the bride's childhood friend. The couple was surrounded by the people who loved them most!
It was a windy day, so I taped my canvas down to the easel to make sure it didn't shift while I put down the underpainting.
The ceremony was beautiful and the bride was glowing, but my favorite part was the reception at Kipos Hellenistic Cuisine in Wilmington!
I painted with my back to the crowd so that guests could come and watch the process. The weather was perfect for them to be outside and enjoy the drinks, food, and entertainment!
The couple had known each other for years, and so this union was truly a celebration of them making their union official in marriage!
The music blasted and I loved dancing and painting (it's probably one of my favorite things!). When I filled up the canvas and had finished the painting for the night, the couple SCREAMED when they saw it!! I was so grateful that they loved it and looked forward to hanging it in their home.
I loved the colors of this piece--I thought they really reflected the day with the deep autumn colors and intimate setting of the ceremony.
Would you like your wedding day captured like this? I'd be honored to paint live at your event! Reach out to me here to see if your date is available.
